FSA speaking at CAP Teamwork Conference

Following the success of its Partnerships conference, the Cathedral Archer Project (CAP) are hosting a conference on Teamwork on 27 November 2009.  Speakers include Philip Robinson of the Financial Services Authority, John Shiels from Manchester United Foundation and representatives from Turner Townsend, the military and the government office for Yorkshire and Humber.

They will be speaking about the different aspects of successful teamwork, similarities and differences and how they can relate to your workplace.

Since it origins nearly 20 years ago in 1990 as a breakfast project helping the homeless and rough sleepers in Sheffield, the project has grown – and moved into its own purpose built premises at the Cathedral in 2007.

The CAP now helps about 120 people every week - about 25 of these are rough sleepers.

This is the second in a series of conferences to help create even more positive links with the business community in the City and region and provide an invaluable to network.

Tracy Viner, the fundraising manager at the project explains:

“The conference on partnerships received excellent feedback and it was wonderful to hear both Terry Waite and David Blunkett’s perspectives and some of their personal insights.  The teamwork conference promises to be equally as good and we are really excited about the line up of speakers.”

Tracy added:

“We have set all the speakers the same brief and we hope that the differences and similarities of the contributors will help our delegates to gain a wider understanding of how different aspects of teamwork can benefit them personally and their organisations.”

“We also hope that the subject will attract a wide range of delegates from the business and local community – we really feel there is something here for everyone. Places are still available, we would love you to join us.”

Hi there, just wondered how the Harvest festival went? Will the project be doing one in the Spring or is it just an annual event?

    • Hi there
Our harvest runs annually for three weeks in October and CAP have had a great response from everyone that takes part. We always accept and appreciate donations that come in through out the year, as our stocks do start to run low by June. I hope this answers your query and should you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
