20th Anniversary Launched

It has been 20 years since the congregation at Sheffield Cathedral first gave tea and toast to the homeless that came in for shelter during the morning services.

To mark the occasion, volunteers gave the congregation tea and toast after their service on Sunday.

Grammy Award Winner – homeless for the night!

Grammy Award winning singer song-writer Eliot Kennedy swapped his glamorous jet-set lifestyle to live with the homeless on the streets of Sheffield.  Eliot has written songs for Take That, The Spice Girls, Boyzone and Bryan Adams.

St Chad’s add to Pot Noodle haul

St Chad’s took up the pot noodle challenge laid down by Ashton Morton Slack and Aviva and have taken it to a whole new level.  They collected 773 pot noodles, creating an amazing tower of meals to support the rough sleepers that are given food parcels by the Cathedral Archer Project.

The Cathedral Archer Project has found its home on the world wide web. And in less than one day with the help of BashMash.

Before the Collaboration Day started, BashMash organiser, Jag Gill, said “we are a group of technology geeks with a social conscience – we get together regularly at BarCamp and GeekUp to share our digital and new media knowledge and we thought we could use our skills to benefit a local charity.
