Sleep out success

It was a cold and noisy night but the 27 intrepid participants stayed the course and slept out on the Cathedral Forecourt and raised over £7,000 for the Cathedral Archer Project.

20th Anniversary Launched

It has been 20 years since the congregation at Sheffield Cathedral first gave tea and toast to the homeless that came in for shelter during the morning services.

To mark the occasion, volunteers gave the congregation tea and toast after their service on Sunday.

Learning from Wheelie Bin death

Last month a jury ruled that the person crushed following sleeping in a wheelie bin in Brighton prompted a special lesson at the Cathedral Archer Project.

Clients were asked if they had ever taken shelter from the wind or rain in an industrial bin.  Everyone in the group of 7 had.
