We have to collect some personal data from you as an employer. This means that we may also need to share this information with third parties who provide professional services. We will make sure that all third parties we are engaged with treat your personal data with as much respect as we do.

The Cathedral Archer Project Limited, or ‘CAP’, support homeless adults in Sheffield, providing a warm and welcoming place for them to receive the help that they need. We believe that life should be rewarding and enjoyable – homelessness is neither of these.

What personal data do we collect from you?
We have to collect some information from you so that we can offer and provide you with a contract of employment. We do our best to make sure that we do not collect excessive information from you and limit it to only what is necessary as an employer.
Due to the nature of the organisation and its environment, it requires us to collect special category information to ensure you are eligible to work with vulnerable adults. This includes details obtained via DBS checks.
We understand that this information is extremely sensitive by its very nature and we take every precaution to keep it safe.
We collect:

Date of Birth;
Address;
Email address;
Phone number;
Next of Kin;
Bank details
We also need to collect information about criminal convictions and offences
This information is collected with your consent to the processing of those personal data for one or more specified purposes, and you can withdraw your consent at any time by letting us know at DPEnquiry@archerproject.org.uk. CAP retains this information for 2 years from the last day of your employment. If you withdraw your consent by written confirmation, we will shred all papers we have gathered regarding your personal information without undue delay unless we have a legal obligation to keep your personal data
How do we look after your data?
We use a variety of technical and organisational measures to ensure the protection of your personal data. Information is stored both electronically and on paper and is only accessible by authorised CAP Staff and third party professional services, i.e. accountants, legal advisors. We protect electronic information via the use of passwords and paper based copies are stored in a locked cabinet in the staff office. When information is exchanged electronically with third parties, for example Accountants, we ensure it is password protected and the password is shared separately
Sharing your information
CAP will not share your personal information with any third parties who are not outlined in this Privacy Policy.

You have the following rights with regards to your personal data:
The right to be informed – this privacy notice explains to you how your personal data is processed by us.
The right to access – you can request that we provide you with all of the personal data that we hold about you. We will provide this to you free of charge within one month of your request.

The right to erasure – you have the right to have your data ‘erased’ in the following situations:

CAP does not conduct any automated decision making, including profiling, on anybody that we interact with.
