Purpose:
To offer practical emotional support & information to individuals visiting The Archer Project Engagement Service.
Accountable to: Engagement Manager
Role & Responsibilities: To provide support & information to the individuals visiting The Archer Project Engagement Service, under the supervision of a paid member of staff.
Responsibilities include the following:
Provide holistic support to individuals built upon:
Active listening skills
Strengths-based techniques
Trauma informed approach
Welcome people who are visiting the service for the first time, assess their current situation to determine whether they meet the service’s criteria, signpost to alternative services where appropriate. Provide information about GDPR and internal services, accompany them around the project so they are familiar with the environment
Provide general information about specialist services, and provide support to refer / self-refer
Encourage individuals to attend easy engagement activities
Contribute to maintaining the tidiness and cleanliness of the centre
Observe Health and Safety requirements and operational procedures
Inform line managers of incidents and behaviour that contravene the organisation’s Code of Conduct.
