“With this cohort of women, there’s a high prevalence of sexual abuse and harm. Because of that, women may not feel comfortable accessing support or opening up.” - Alicia Thompson our Stabilisation Manager.

And, from Rosie Peers, the Service Lead from Sheffield Working Women’s Opportunities Project (SWWOP).

“There’s a really clear overlap between sex work and homelessness in the women we support here in Sheffield. For a lot of women, sex work isn’t a straightforward ‘choice’ and is often something that happens in the context of just trying to survive…”
